Fgura council demands Enemalta compensation for 'black dust'

Fgura council has written to Enemalta asking for compensation after a report commissioned by Mepa found that the Marsa power station was the most likely source of the 'black dust' which plagued the locality over the past few years.
The council said such compensation could take the form of environment-projects in Fgura sponsored by the corporation.
Enemalta has disputed the findings of the report. compiled by Prof Alfred Vella.
